T-shirts

T-shirts picks, all in one place: who this category suits, what to double-check before ordering, which part of the QC photos deserves a close look, and the trap newcomers fall for most. Read this page first, then shortlist with confidence.

T-shirts · Quick checks

Good for: Composition and weight are stated, and the minimum applies across mixed sizes.

Confirm: Minimum per colourway versus per order — the difference changes the maths entirely.

QC focus: Check collar and hem consistency across a sample of units.

Trap: A per-unit price that hides a large minimum per colourway.

Neckline and shoulder construction

The collar is what fails first on a cheap shirt, usually by losing shape or rippling after washing. Look for a ribbed collar with visible stitching and shoulders where the seam sits at the edge of your shoulder rather than drooping down the arm. Ask QC photos for the collar from slightly above, since a rippled neckline is obvious from that angle and invisible from the front.

Colour fastness and the first wash

Dark and saturated colours release dye in the first wash, which is normal and not a defect, but it means shirts should not be washed with light colours that day. Wash cold and inside out to slow fading significantly. If a shirt arrives with an uneven shade across the panels, that is a genuine defect worth raising while the parcel is still at the warehouse.

Shrinkage expectations by fabric

Pure cotton shrinks most, cotton-polyester blends move very little, and anything described as pre-shrunk has already had most of the movement taken out of it. Shrinkage is mostly in length, so a shirt that fits perfectly when new can end up noticeably short. Buying one size up in length is the standard workaround among buyers who reorder this category regularly.

Ordering this through GTBuy

GTBuy handles both single orders and larger consolidated hauls, which makes it a reasonable choice if you expect to order repeatedly. Items are held at the warehouse and photographed on request. For bulky categories, ask for a volumetric estimate before releasing the parcel so the freight figure does not come as a surprise.
